After much prayer and reflection, we’re unbelievably excited to announce that in 2026, we’ll be launching Vivid Church in Bakersfield, CA. In 2017, God brought us to this amazing city with a vision and a burden that’s only grown larger over the last 8 years. During that time, we’ve planted a church, merged that church with another, and witnessed thousands come to Jesus and hundreds baptized. We’ve seen miracles on miracles since moving here, and our passion to serve the people in this Valley remains unchanged. Now this family of 5 is stepping out into a new chapter with a vision to see people, like you, walk in the Hope & Freedom that’s found in a relationship with Jesus.
Who is Vivid Church?
The word vivid means full of life stemming from the Latin word meaning ‘to live’ and is used to describe something bright, clear, vibrant, and bold. Vivid is more than a church—it’s a vision to see lives and families find real hope & freedom in the heart of Bakersfield.
We see a city full of history, full of stories, a city that carries a rich 125 year old backstory. We also see how brokenness, disconnection, addiction, despair, and the list could go on and on, has left this magnificent valley faded and stained. Here’s what we know, Jesus is the One who brings color back into the faded places—lives, families, and futures.
Since we stepped into leadership, we’ve said that we want what we are a part of to be greater than the part we play. We know we have a role and a part, but making a difference requires Jesus and people, like you, coming together with a shared vision. Be a part of what God is wanting to do through Vivid, and let’s see Bakersfield come alive and bright through Jesus Christ.
